Why Drainage Problems Only Get Worse
- Water compounds. A small channel this year is a gully next year. Erosion accelerates - every storm removes more soil from the same weak line.
- Foundations and flatwork. Water pooling against a footing or under a slab causes heave, cracks and settlement that cost far more than the grading would have.
- Slopes fail suddenly. A saturated, unstabilized slope can let go in one event, taking landscaping, fences or part of the yard with it.
- Insurance and disclosure. Documented drainage and erosion damage follows a property at resale. Fixing it early keeps it off the record.

Read the water
We look at where runoff comes from, where it pools, and where it needs to go - including what the uphill neighbor sends you.
Plan the grade
Positive slope away from structures, defined paths for storm flow, armor where velocity is high.
Build it
Cut and fill, install drains and swales, set rip-rap and boulders, matting and seed on disturbed slopes.
Verify
We check flow paths and, where we can, watch it work in a real storm and fine-tune.

Water pools against my foundation after storms - can you fix it?
Yes. That is usually a grading problem: the soil has settled or was never sloped away from the house. We re-establish positive drainage and add a swale or drain to carry water to daylight.
What is a dry creek bed and does it actually work?
It is a rock-lined channel that carries storm runoff on the surface while looking like landscaping. Done with the right slope, fabric and stone sizing, it is very effective - and it doubles as a defensible-space-friendly, low-water feature.
Can you stabilize a slope that is washing out?
Yes - options include regrading, terracing, boulder or rip-rap toe protection, erosion-control matting and revegetation. We match the method to how steep and how active the slope is.
Do you repair monsoon washout damage?
Yes, and we try to fix the cause at the same time so it does not wash out again in the next storm.
