Tree Service

Trimming, pruning, crown reduction & safe removals. Family & Firefighter Owned & Operated. Licensed, insured and HOA compliant.

Tree Service overview

Healthy trees are an asset. Neglected or dead ones are a liability that grows every season - dropping limbs on roofs and vehicles, lifting foundations and walkways, and stacking fuel right next to the house. Our crew keeps your trees structurally sound, off your structures, and clear of the power lines.

What's included

  • Crown thinning, cleaning, raising and reduction
  • Structural and safety pruning for young and mature trees
  • Deadwood removal and storm-damage repair
  • Full tree removal, including tight-access and near-structure removals
  • Ponderosa pine, juniper, oak, cottonwood, willow, elm, ash and fruit trees
  • Cabling and bracing for trees worth saving
  • Full cleanup and haul-off - chips, rounds and brush gone when we leave

The Case For Keeping Up On It

Why Staying On Top Of Tree Work Matters Here

  • Monsoon and microbursts. Prescott-area summer storms routinely snap unbalanced or dead limbs. A trim now is far cheaper than a tree through the garage in July.
  • Wildfire fuel. Low branches and dead wood are ladder fuel. Limbing trees up and thinning the canopy is a core part of defensible space.
  • Tree health. Cuts made at the branch collar heal; topping and flush cuts invite rot and borers. Good pruning adds decades of life.
  • Property value and HOA standing. Overgrown, lopsided or dead trees draw HOA notices and kill curb appeal. Regular shaping keeps you compliant and sharp.

Good To Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you remove large trees close to the house?

Yes. Tight-access and near-structure removals are routine for us - we rig limbs down in controlled pieces rather than felling, and we protect roofs, fences and landscaping while we work.

When is the best time to trim trees in Northern Arizona?

Late winter through early spring (dormant season) is ideal for most species because the tree heals fast and structure is easy to read. Dead, broken or hazardous limbs should come off any time of year. We prune oaks outside the spring beetle window to reduce disease risk.

Do you grind the stump too?

Stump grinding is a separate service you can add to any removal. See our stump grinding page.

Are you insured for tree work?

Yes - we carry liability and workers' coverage and provide a certificate of insurance on request. Uninsured tree work is a serious risk to the property owner.

Will you haul everything away?

Always. The job is not finished until the brush is chipped, the wood is handled and the site is swept.
